Our standards
Trust & Transparency
What the association checks, what it does not do, and how to raise a concern.
01 Who we are — and are not
The Online Guide Association is an independent network based in Siem Reap. It is not a government body, a tourism regulator or an official licensing authority.
02 What we check
- Guide licences, issued by the Cambodian authorities, are checked before a guide profile goes live.
- Businesses are checked before they are listed.
- Community notes are reviewed before they are published as highlights.
03 Prices and payments
- Prices come from the guide or business and are confirmed with you before you pay.
- Commissions and referral fees are always disclosed.
- No hidden extras: what is included is written in your quote.
04 Reviews and marketing
- No fake reviews, and no paying or rewarding guests for reviews.
- Real photos of real places — credited, and taken with permission.
- We say plainly what is live today and what is still being built.
05 Your information
We use your details only to answer you and arrange what you asked for. We do not sell personal information. The Privacy page has the details.
06 Raise a concern
If something went wrong with a guide, a listing or the website, tell us. A named member of the team will look into it and reply.
